Why Liminal Attunement
Most people come to therapy when something breaks. I think that's a little late.
The patterns that lead to the breaking point usually have a long history. They show up in how you argue, how you go quiet, how you choose people, how you leave them. They live in the body before they live in the mind. And they rarely announce themselves clearly.
I built this practice because I believe that kind of work deserves a real home. But I've never believed that work belongs only in a single therapy room.
That's why I offer couples healing workshops — because some things land differently when you're learning alongside others, and because skill-building shouldn't be reserved for people who can afford years of weekly sessions. And it's why I offer supervision and consultation for clinicians — because I love to teach, I love to think alongside other therapists, and because the field gets better when we invest in the people doing the work.
The thread through all of it is the same: slow down, go underneath, pay attention to what's happening between people.
If you're ready to stop avoiding what's underneath — I'm ready to go there with you.

I became a therapist because people are genuinely fascinating — the ways we protect ourselves, the patterns we repeat without meaning to, the stories we tell about why things are the way they are. Turns out, that kind of curiosity is most of the job. The rest is showing up and not flinching.
I'm Gordana — LMFT, founder of Liminal Attunement, and someone who has done this work in some unlikely rooms. Before private practice, I spent years working with justice-involved populations, which is a clinical way of saying I learned very quickly that insight doesn't care about circumstance, and that the capacity for growth shows up in places most people aren't looking.
I work from an attachment and EFT foundation, which means I'm less interested in what you think about your problems and more interested in what happens in your body when you talk about them. I'm also a Compassionate Inquiry trained clinician — a framework developed by Dr. Gabor Maté — which shapes how I listen and, more importantly, what I'm listening for.
I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and am a licensed member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I offer therapy in English, Serbian, Croatian, and Bosnian.
